    Effective once Customs records the filing. Timing is set by Customs and is case-specific.

Your order

Appointment of Aplash as your Attorney for Customs Procedures under Customs Act Article 95, so that Japan Customs has a party it can reach in Japan for your entries.

Available to importers with no registered legal entity, office or address in Japan. Food, drink, additives, food-contact goods and children's toys may need an Importer of Record arrangement beside the appointment, at a further fee.

Billed separately at cost

  • One Japan Customs office is covered. Each additional office is a separate filing under Customs Act Article 95 and is quoted separately.
  • Customs duty, Japan Consumption Tax and any partner registered customs specialist fees are settled at cost, outside this order.
  • Per-shipment ACP work is charged at USD 300 per shipment where your own licensed customs broker prepares and files the declaration and Aplash holds the appointment, or at USD 1,200 per shipment where Aplash coordinates the licensed-broker workflow. Shipments ordered with the appointment are charged with it; shipments ordered later are charged at the same rates, and 6 or 12 coordinated shipments ordered together take the published volume rate. The work is performed under the service agreement drafted for your matter.
  • Goods that need an import approval, licence, quarantine step or conformity work beside the appointment, or export control screening on the item or its end use, are reviewed before any filing. Where further work applies, it is quoted to you in writing and charged only on your written acceptance. Clause 2.11 of the Terms of Sale states the rule, and clause 5 states what is refunded where you decline the quote or the appointment route is not open to you.

The appointment takes effect when Customs records the notification. Timing is set by Customs and is case-specific.
